Actually Witnessed a Sim Moving Out
« on: January 08, 2010, 07:37:11 PM »
The current sim I'm playing is in China right now and just finished her 2nd adventure...the one where she had to go into the Resolute Fist Retreat and retrieve the writings of someone I can't pronounce and deliver the writings. My sim went to the house to deliver the writings and as soon as she handed them over and got her reward, the message popped up that said, "Unfortunately, the sim you are trying to visit has left." The sim ran off and the house suddenly became vacant. Luckily, she was able to complete the adventure though because if she had gotten there a minute later, I think that adventure would have been scrapped.

Anyway, this is the first time I've actually witnessed a sim moving out of a house.

Ha, lucky! I've seen that too once, the silly Sim just took off running and then the house was empty. ::)

I'm stuck with a relic right now because the Sim who wanted it is gone. Now whenever I click on any Sim I get the option to Deliver Relic but none of them will take the stupid thing of course. >:(

This was so extremely annoying for me the first time. Once upon a time there was a cute couple and their son in China. From the West however came a big, fat stupid sim and got the wife a divorce and a new child. 8)

Of course, when the couple had died, I went to look what would happen to my daughter since she was only a child. Somehow both her and the son had magically grown to teenagers, so I thought "well that's good, so my own daughter can keep living in that big house". So there he was and was teaching her Sim Fu three days in a row, when I was tossed out of the house and they ran up in the mountain to a small and poor house with a family with like 5 kids already, totally unrelated family, and now lives there for some inconcieveable reason instead!

Guess if I was surprised! :o

It doesn't make much sense does it? Why do they move if they already have a nice place and move to a smaller place with fewer amenities?

I just made a small, affordable house in China that was right at $16,000 fully furnished, so that I could drop a few in China and create some new sims to put in China. So I dropped three of those houses and created 6 sims. (2 sisters, 2 brothers, and one man/woman couple) When I get back to the game and my sim starts a new adventure, it turns out that my new contact person is the female sim I'd made who was married. But they were already not living in the house that I had JUST moved them into!  They had already moved to a different house that was a lot worse than the one they just came from. Then I went to check on the other two families I had moved in and another one, the two sisters had already moved somewhere else as well.
