I Need help with the Gold Digger life time wish.
« on: April 13, 2011, 07:36:50 PM »
Hello, Im Dann!

Just writing to ask if anyone else has this problem, to complete the 'Gold digger' LTM you must see the ghost of a wealthy spouse, but when i read 'Carls guide' on this wish, he moved in with his victim, unfortunately i can only propose marriage to my victim, does anyone know if they can propose to you? and if you can move in to there home? instead of yours.. because if not, isnt this wish a little pointless? let me know please

Regards, Dann.

I don't own any of the console versions of the game, but perhaps I can give you something you can experiment with until you get a solid answer from someone who does.  It would be a good idea to save your game before you try this, so if it doesn't work you can just reset the game and try something else.

In the PC version, when you marry a sim before they move in with you, you can choose to move everyone into that sim's house instead of yours.  When the "move" panel comes up, both sims will show up as moving into your house.  If this move is the result of a marriage, you can use the arrow keys that you would use additional sims from the previous house into yours to move the two of you from your house into the previous house...at absolutely no cost (they already own it).  In fact, when you marry someone, you typically get a cash bonus from wedding gifts.

This will only work if it's the result of marriage.  When you ask someone to move in, you can't do this.

Thanks for the reply,

but unfortunately, i have tried this in the past, and it just kept coming up with 'newlyweds must stay together' or something like that, and as for the cash and gifts, i married some rich guy called Davis Levesque, and he brought like 20k to the household, but thats not really much if you go off the LTW carls guide really,

Quite baffled on this one, its a good job she's a writer and very rich!

Oh well...it was a thought, anyways.  I guess the console version wants you to work for your Golddigger status.  :P

(That kinda defeats the whole purpose of being a golddigger...)

Ooo Ooo I know this one! You have to spam the 'friendly' socials to get the option 'ask to move in'. Its not in the romantic socials. Just keep using different ones each time and if their relationship is already really high it will pop up soon. I just moved my rich husband in with me last night doing this. Let me know how it turns out!
