Hi guys, I'm new.
I just encountered a really annoying bug in my game, and I wanted to share this with fellow Sims gamers and see if anyone has had the same thing happen to them, and if someone has an idea of how to prevent this from happening.
Ever since World Adventures came out I've been going on adventures, playing the same family, consisting of one male and one female adult sim. I haven't let them become romantically involved with anyone, including each other, since I've just been so excited about trying out the different adventures. So, they have now aged from young adults to adults, and they're currently travelling in France. I was going through the female sim's friends, trying to find a specific one, when I noticed something very odd. My sim knew another sim that had the "relative" symbol. I placed my cursor on it, and it said "daughter"! What the...
Also, this "out-of-nowhere" daugher wasn't a baby or a child, but an adult sim! (I couldn't tell if it was a young adult or adult but STILL!) Can you imagine the surprise when I checked the male sim's friend list, and HE HAD A SON? Same thing, it's an adult. The daughter is in China, and the family tree says her father is some chinese guy that my female sim is friends with (but like I said before, no romance there!). The son is in Egypt, same thing, no romance with the mother.
This is so annoying. Random offspring from playable sims?? I'd like to have SOME control over that, it's annoying enough that the families I'm not currently playing are having random kids.
