equipping armour and such

I don't know if I'm missing something, but how do I equip armor? My blacksmith has a hammer equipped, but I don't know how to unequip it or equip armor. I asked one of the twinkids who probably plays this more than me (but not for long because I am really loving this game now) and she said just click it, but nothing happens when I click the armor or when I click the hammer that is already equipped.

EDIT  mmm, after some thought and reading I think I may have found what I was missing. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I've come to the conclusion that the smithy can't be equipped with armor and weapons.

Blacksmiths can't wear Armour but if you make a new Hammer then click on that new one it will say 'Equip'. As far as I know you can't unequip an item without Equiping something else instead of it.

Thanks samoht04, I figured that might be the case. I just thought that some armour might offer him some protection. Oh well, now to re-think my plan lol

Confirmed. Blacksmiths must always have a hammer equipped and Twinmum in case you don't know this already now only the monarch, knight and spy can equip armour and weapons but the spy fights better without an armour. That's all have fun.

I don't think the spy can equip armour at all. Just Monarch and Knight.

There is a quest (Cutting Edge) where the Blacksmith will need to use a sword on a dummy.  Once he/she makes it he/she can equip himself/herself with that sword.  My Blacksmith still is equipped and can sharpen his sword but I don't know if he can still practice with hit or not.  I will try it later tonight.

The Legendary Blade? It was about some kind of Pixie and her Lover then you had to make something for the monarch, it involved a Priest?

I thought the quest was called the Cutting Edge, but yes it is about a Pixie Fairy and her lover (Mano Moon I think).   And yes it was commissioned by the Monarch.
