Elope in the Forest

My blacksmith is suppose to elope in forest.  He asked her to elope, he is suppose to marry in the forest.  When he meets her there, does all the romancing and get to ask her to marry him but she is constantly refusing.  I can't tell you how many times I have got to this point but she refuses. He has been all in the green when asking but I obviously am missing something.  Since he's not fulfilling this quest he keeps getting arrested and put in the stocks.
Does anyone have a clue???

I just started playing again and again he got arrested and he died-needless to say I didn't save the game. Have no clue what to do to avoid this happening.

Sorry Jancy! I can't be much help except moral support. My Physician did that quest and he had to ask the girl twice for the interaction to work but it did. I'm assuming that your two Sims are betrothed/engaged? I did notice that I had to have my blacksmith (support hero) "watch marriage" by selecting him and then clicking on the physician, and then the priest descended and the ceremony took place. I hope someone else can provide you with more help.

Thanks lily but I thought I tried just about everything but obviously I was missing something! Every time I started up the unsaved game it just got worse.  He immediately would get arrested and again he died again, so this time I let him stay dead and continued with a new blacksmith, and I should say much better looking this time around! Next time I do this quest I'll be sure to make note of what I missed, assuming I get the chance to actually finish it.

I'm having the exact same problem.  As a matter of fact, I ended up sending my knight (bride) home because she was so tired and when she woke up the next morning she and the groom had an empty relationship bar even though they were courting and it was full the night before.  I assume this is a bug.  I'm just going to drop the quest - it's not worth the aggravation.

Thanks Katluvr, Not that I'm glad you had the same problem, but at least now we know it is probably a bug.
If it is a bug, fingers are crossed, that maybe it'll get fixed.
