Evil sims are fun
« on: March 29, 2011, 06:19:41 PM »
Am I the only person who finds the joy in playing with evil sims? I love watching them steal candy, and how everything says "EVIL" on their actions "Take evil shower" "Evil Slumber" "Evil Dance" "Make Evil Drinks" and their laughs too. I think it goes even better with Geniuses, Neurotic Hot Headed and Klepto traits. I don't know if it's because I'm not an evil person, or because of the fact that it's a trait that's not literally. But anyone else here find the joy in evil sims?

I have used evil a couple of times, so I guess it would depend.  I do love that laugh and the look on their faces, but I guess I find it hard make an evil sim.  Don't get me wrong, there is absolutely nothing wrong with playing an evil sim, I make one and then for some reason, I have to chanbe them back, silly me.  I have read quite a few like to play them, so I don't think you are the only one.

I did have one in my story, so that worked out really well. :)
Is it true that cannibals don't eat clowns because they taste funny?

I had a born-in-game toddler once with the evil trait, randomly selected.  He would get a positive moodlet every time his baby brother would cry.  Since they shared a room, this was often and older brother was almost always in a great mood.   :o

I know of a few people on this forum that have used evil and/or the kleptomaniac trait in game, so I'm assuming they enjoy using it.

I like using it sometimes - it really depends on what I want the personality of my sim to be.

As Alexandria noted, most of us like playing kleptos and evils. I, personally, am not an Evil person in RL, but in Sims I love that trait absolutely. 'Fiendishly Delighted' moodlet boosts their mood dramatically, and 'Steal Candy' is one of my favorite interactions. Kleptos are all of my founders. Just love stealing all the expensive cars in the town! The appropriate LTW is a bit hard to accomplish, but very fun, indeed.
Well, that's your opinion, isn't it? And I'm not about to waste my time trying to change it. - Lady GaGa

Trolling is fun too. That's one of my favorite things to do when playing with an evil sim. Same with the stealing candy, and the wanting to see the ghost of those they want dead.

I do like the Evil and Kleptomaniac traits, but I don't use them very often.  More often than not, I allow the game to pick the traits anyways.  That element of chaos just makes things that much more fun for me.  :P

Likewise, I rarely use them together if I am picking traits myself.  Evil has no real benefit for a sim that I want to be a Klepto, and Klepto has no real benefit for a sim I want to be Evil.  There is the money benefit, but low finances is a fleeting problem.

When creating a sim, I work out how they work by randomizing the face until something strikes me.  Then I tweak the features until I have something that appeals to me.  By the time the face is done, I usually have a personality worked out in my mind and I use the traits to bring that out.  Thus, I don't bother with gratuitous traits simply because I think they fit together well.  I usually need the slots to make the sim who I want them to be, anyways.
