Changing gender?
« on: March 22, 2011, 12:05:28 AM »
I created a two-Sim family, a mother and daughter. Except... I made a son by mistake. Is there any way to fix the error? I don't really want my adult Sim to have a son named Cindy :)

Welcome to our Forum, Whitewings.

No, you cannot change the gender of a child that you've already created.  You'll have to start over and create a girl next time.

Welcome Whitewings! If you want to keep the genes but not the gender, you can select "Change Appearance" at a mirror and use the (...) button to save your Sim into CAS, where you can edit him to your heart's content. Like Pam said though, you'd have to create the family over if you want to play them as mother and daughter. On the other hand, you can change Cindy's name at the Town Hall if you decide to keep him. Sid? Cedric?  :P

If you just don't like the girl name Cindy for a boy, you can send the mum to town hall during business hours to change the baby's name.
