Have you ever been playing a household, and suddenly for no reason at all, your sims get a large sum of money?

I just started a Legacy household in Twinbrook.  The founder got married to a townie and it gave them just enough money to buy a bed.  The spouse was in the law enforcement career, but his LTW was to be a Firefighter Super Hero, so I got him a new job as a firefighter.  Then, on week 1, day 3, at about 7 am as the newlyweds were sleeping soundly in their beds (the only piece of furniture they could afford at the time), I hear the "Cha-Ching!" of money being added to the coffers, and the figure "$19,600" rose up from the interface panel.  It was Tuesday, so he was due his weekly stipend, and even if it was a Sunday his stipend nowhere close to being $19,600.

Likewise, I've had this happen in various other houses for no apparent reason.  Usually it's around $2000, though.  For absolutely no reason at all, they get a significant influx of money at a bizarre hour without doing anything.  It's almost like they hit the lottery.

Does anyone know why this happens?

That is a bug since LN came out.  There is information about it somewhere (can't remember if it had it's own topic or if it was brought up in a different topic).  I will try to find it to share the link with you.

Thanks for that, and sorry about starting another thread about it lol.  Normally, I would have said "Hey, cool!  Free money!"  But since it's a Legacy, I wanted to keep things straight.  I would have just fixed it with the family funds cheat, but for some reason I can't get it to work with her.

Do I use her last name or the household name (because they're different in this case)?

Edit:  It's the household name.  I figured it out and fixed it up.
