Cant assign bartender at party

I thought I saw topics about this before, but can't find any now. When I have a party, I hire a bartender, but when I click on a bar to assign him to it that option is there. What is the problem? Thanks.

So. when you click on the bar, the option to "Assign Mixologist" does not show up, right?

Yes that's correct. The option to assign bartender doesn't show up

Is the bartender actually on the lot when you click it??
When building and testing a house for a friend, I hired a mixologist, and waited until she set foot on my lot.
Also, maybe you need 2 bars.
Are you using one of the two professional bars?

Have you ever been able to successfully assign a Mixologist to a bar?  I've only done this once and my steps were to have more than one professional bar, call for a Mixologist, he arrived and asked if I wanted more Mixologists because I had more than one bar.  I said yes, then clicked on one of the bars to assign him to it.  If you only have one professional bar, the Mixologist should just go straight to it.
