Luxury cars in Sunset Valley
« on: February 25, 2011, 02:45:40 AM »
Hi all, I'm looking for some luxury cars to steal for my klepto. I already stole Agnes' and the Wolffs' cars. Are there any other expensive cars to steal at the beginning of the game (day 2, week 1)?

Try looking in Goths' garage. Also you can try stealing Landgraabs' car when they go out somewhere. I haven't seen Altos' going anywhere more often, but you can try their car also (if they have one).

I've never seen the Goths in an expensive car.  Gunther travels by limo.  Alto and Landgraab are both good.  They live up on Summerhill Court where all of the Dynasties are played.

I opened the garage doors of Altos and Landgraabs, but there was nothing inside. Absolutely nothing. Maybe Holly likes carrying the car in her 'pocket'? I've not checked the Goths, though. Thanks for suggestion.

Probably you cannot see the cars until you know the house. For example, when you are invited inside, you may see some things. Also if you 'look in window'........ ;)

I was invited inside. And the whole family was at home.

Then you were right: they keep their cars in their respective inventories.

Most of the sims do.

The Goths do have a car in their garage, but you have to be friends with them and be invited inside, well not really friends, but you have to be a guest, then just go to the garage.  You do know you can open anyones garage door?  Just click on it and hit open and then shut it.  So there is a few more cars in peoples garage's we don't see going through the neighborhood, I open all garages to see what is in them, lol.

In addition to the ones mentioned, cars sometimes "spawn" in the neighbourhood at various places.  Most of these are cheap cars but I once found a Margaret Vaguester sitting beside the gym.  It sat there for several days without leaving, and when my klepto finally stole it, the car showed up in her inventory as "stolen from the gym" - it apparently had no owner.

The hospital is another good place for generating random cars that are somewhat expensive.

The Goth's car is not an expensive one, it is one of the less expensive ones.  I can't remember what it is, I should know, I stole it at one time, lol. :)

While I haven't seen it often, it's the VNF Kompensator if I remember correctly.

While it's not the holy grail of Sims 3 auto theft, it's still worth "picking up."  :P
