How do you make an identical twin in CAS?
« on: February 15, 2011, 05:18:23 PM »
I need to make two Sims.  I want them both female and identical in every way except hair color and traits.  How do I do this?
What?  Grannies can't play games?
I speak perfect Nooblik, (and some Simlish)!

Down on the Sims Icon/Picture/Thumbnail there is a ... or something if you click that the options to Save to Bin, Share and Clone/Copy come up. You just need to select the Copy/Clone one. I hope that is clear enough?

I thought it was were you add a member to your household in CAS, and the pacifier was greyed out, but above was "Make Twin."

Now I have to double check.

Double check for twins... Haha, sorry, but that just made me giggle. It sounds too logical. :P

I do believe there is a button to create an identical twin.

Thank you, one and all.  There IS a button, it kind of looks like ....  that and it's underneath the icon of the character you are working on.  My twins are nicely made.  Different hair and eye color, different traits, different tastes in things. If it wasn't for the hair and eye color you wouldn't be able to tell them apart. Oh, one is very buff and athletic looking and one is softer but still strong.  Both are slim.

This happened to me twice already. I wanted the Sim mother to have a female child, we all know that eating watermelon makes them have girl children. So I made sure the mother ate watermelon, as many as she can, three when she got pregnant, more when she got hungry, and as snacks in between. I got identical twin girls because of that overeating watermelon! I thought, that was coincidence, that she was really due to have twins. So I tried the watermelon trick again on another mother, again I made her eat as many as she can. To my great surprise, she had identical twin girls again! Now this is no longer coincidence, so I am careful not to let the pregnant Sim eat too many watermelon, the last one I let her eat just three and she still had a girl.  That's what I suggest you do to have identical twins, I guess it works the same way with apples for males. Good luck!  :D

No, the watermelon and apples do NOT cause twins to be born.  There are a number of other ways, such as Fertility Treatment, Family Oriented trait, watching Kidz TV.  But not apples and watermelon.

Also, that's not what this thread is about.  It's about how to get a twin in Create-A-Sim, so your post is off topic.
