Kicking Kids out
« on: January 14, 2010, 07:22:51 PM »
I have been playing one family now the Grayson's and they now have 5 kids and two of them are young adults, how do I go about having the parents kick them out?  The want to have more kids but I cannot until I move some out and would like to kick them out as oppose to moving them out.

The Evict option should be on your cell phone. Or it may be worded Move Out. Can't remember exactly. But, then you should have the option of who to move out.

Yeah, if you go to your phone and select "Move Out", it'll bring up a window that lets you choose who moves out and if you want to buy them a house or let them find one on their own, basically "kick out". Kick out does not subtract money from your funds as well.

Once you use your cell phone to Move Out, you select the Sims who are leaving, and then check the box that says "Kick Out" located on the right side of the screen under the names of the ones moving out. The Kick Out option is free and your Sims don't suffer at all.  They go find the first empty house and take possession.  If you follow them when they leave your house, you'll be able to see where they go.

Once you've kid your kids out, can you play them?  I kid my two sons out of my one game and when I go out into a new game, they do not show up :( Wondering if anyone else has this problem, or if it is my game/

You can play them after you have kicked them out, you just have to find them. Have you checked every occupied house? I have kicked out kids and had them turn up at already occupied houses. In fact, in one of my legacy families, I kicked out a daughter I couldn't stand and she ended up living with the Langeraks. It took me forever to find her.

If you're morbid like yours truly you could just introduce the kids to mr. Pool!  :)

Don't forget that, if you have Story Progression on, then once they have left the active house they may decide to move out of town  :o

What do you mean by going out into a new game?  If you're changing game files, you won't have them in your town.
