Combining creative writing (which has always been a strength I've been proud of) with gaming (which has always been a favourite pastime) seems like it will be great fun. Sadly I seemed to have lost a lot of creative power post-2010. It will be nice to power up the metaphorical rocket again.

I don't know if this would help, but read some of the stories found here in the forum.

At this point the creative juices are flowing like lava out of a freshly erupted volcano but you could still have a point XD

I'm fixing a new problem in Twinbrook that is likely my fault, and I got frustrated and lost in some town clutter so I acted like a TV announcer and said to my Sims "We'll be right back after the break," which honestly simply consisted of returning to the main menu without saving lolz

Good idea to quit without saving. I had to do that recently in my save.  Just got done setting up a new save file in hopes things will work out better. :)

Hey MrsFlynn, sorry to revive such an old topic...but I might have good news. In December of 2022 I accidentally reverted my computer to an old backup of Windows 10 and I actually lost the up-to-date version of Windows 11 entirely. That said, TS3 itself also seems to have gone back in time and the save I have related to the problematic save appears to predate the crashes, soooo that's probably a good thing.

After I finish the much-needed Disk Cleanup process (which is currently being preceded by a separate cleanup of the Recycle Bin - I always do that separately now because some time ago I noticed Disk Cleanup didn't seem to be clearing the Recycle Bin even when the appropriate box was ticked), I'm gonna go back to the secondary save I have wherein Philip Skaggs moved to Twinbrook and married Emerald Greenwood, and when everything's properly loaded up they're going to travel to the future and have three kids via the at-home science workstation ;) That save was always intended for use on a virtual machine, though, so once that gets up and running I'll move it there, lol
