Fertility reward bug or just bad luck?
« on: June 25, 2022, 06:21:37 AM »
My female sim has the fertility reward trait, her partner doesn’t, but she’s now had four pregnancies that resulted in a single baby every time. I’ve not done anything else to encourage multiples (the lot isn’t ‘on the ley line’ etc.) and I don’t play enough with this reward trait to know if this is definitely a bug or if I’ve just had bad luck, so I’m not sure if I should report it. Anyone else having this issue?

The Fertile trait increases your chances of a multiple, but it's still a chance roll.  And I don't know how much greater the chance is, but it doesn't seem to be much.  I just gave that trait to a sim, and she had twins right after.  And since, she's had 2 regular single pregnancies.  Since there's always a chance of twins or triplets anyway, and werewolves have a higher chance of them-- the father was a werewolf-- I don't know that Fertile has had any effect.
I can tell you that the On Ley Line lot trait has a much greater effect.  I'm pretty sure I've had multiples every time when the lot had that, except for when the household only had room for one more.

Thanks for the info, next time I want multiples I’ll put the lot on the ley line. I didn’t know that about werewolves either, I guess that’s a reference to puppy litters 😂
