I had to! There just was no way he was going to respond romantically! So, either cheat the romance or move  him out an try another guy which is also breaking the rules since you can only move in one sim per gen. :(

The new romance interactions are more complicated. It's messing with my head all the extra negotiations... I'm not sure it's any more true to life but then I've been out of the dating scene for nearly 4 decades, lol!

I've been out of the "dating scene" for a bit over 40 years now, lol  I've not tried new romances though except for my attempt at the apoc. I wish EA would just leave well enough alone! Quit making the game harder and harder.
