Romantic interest death

Well, it's finally happened.  My Sim's "Romantic Interest" died from electrocution.  I hadn't had them living together quite yet, so I couldn't share the "death flowers" my Sim had in his inventory.   I had my Sim go to the graveyard, get her grave, and bring it to his home.  I have yet to see his lover's "ghost" appear, but I have heard that you can bring a Sim back to life with ambrosia.  My Sim has maxed his cooking skill and can make it (he would need to read the recipe and get the ingredients).  But how can you get the ghost to eat it if she appears?  Outside of that, is there a "cheat" which can be used to bring my Sim's lover back to life?  Please advise.  Thanks.

Thanks again, Mrs Flynn.  The info was quite useful.  I used the genie lamp method, which worked very well.  The Sim was resurrected, but she came back with a career as a paparazzi.  She was previously a highly skilled acrobat before she "died".  What I intend to do is see if I can get her into a committed live-in relationship with my Sim and get her back into the acrobat career.  Not sure that can be done with resurrected Sims.

I'm happy you were able to find away to resurrect the Sim.  I'm not sure what all you can do with them as I've never resurrected a Sim before. lol

Use Save As, give new name. And then test to see if you can give her back her acrobat career.
