Houseboat autopilot upgrade not available

Hi all, I've just noticed that I no longer have an autopilot option on any of my existing houseboats.  I bought a new one and there is no option to upgrade the autopilot.  Only the foghorn and boat speed.  Has this been deliberately taken out, or is it a glitch?  Is there a solution for this problem?  Hoping it'll come back.  A much missed option.

Just checking, your Sim has at least (iirc) level 7 Handiness skill? Otherwise I don't believe the upgrade will be visible at all.

And does this occur in all saves (especially a new one since you noticed this), or just one?

Thanks for responding so quickly Seabody.  It's just in this save.  My char does have lvl 7 in handiness and no option.  Perhaps it occurs at lvl 8.  I'm working on handiness at the moment so I'll see if that does it.  I never gave the handiness lvl any thought.  I think you may be right on that front.  I appreciate the advice.
