EA app
« on: October 16, 2022, 07:00:17 AM »
https://www.ea.com/news/ea-app

We are going to all have to all move to the EA App soon access our EA games including the various Sims games. Link above is information on it including a link to download it. Am I the only one to be concerned? My experience with EA is a bug feast regardless of the game. But otherwise I am indifferent. What is everyone else's thoughts?

I would really want to know what it means to someone (like me) who play the game offline and don't want to update. As OP pointed out: Do we have to move to another platform?  :(
Unpopular opinion: I like the Sims 4

By end of year it will be a requirement to switch to the EA app. But if you never upgrade or buy new content who knows? I did so today. It is annoying. My sister-in-law and I share an account. Every time she plays it logs me out of the app. I don't know if offline play is possible once you switch. If not I will be leaving this game for good and all EA games.

OK tested and it doesn't boot you from the game just the app. Guess I worried about nothing. Logging in each time I play will be annoying though.

The EA App wouldn't work for me. So I play my sims 3 through Steam

I really hope this won't be an issue because I refuse to move and have my game mandatory updated with random stuff messing with my game and/or I don't want and/or don't need.  >:(

I have been using the EA App now for almost three months now and you have the option to do Automatic updates. I choose to have automatic updates because I need to have my game up to date because I am on the Challange Board Team. You have the option to manually update or to do the auto updates.
