Sims still "kleptomanic" after changing the trait... (Solved)
« on: January 06, 2022, 10:21:23 AM »
Hi.

I  have been using the "CAS.fulleditmode" before with no problem so I thought I just would go ahead and ask this. I'm sure it's OK but anyway...

I had an old (unplayed) family of four, mother, father, teenage girl and child boy (now teenager). Both the father and the boy had the kleptomanic trait so I went into CAS with the Fulleditmode. Not from the map as I use to do it, from the lot. Anyway, I did change the traits and after a restart of the game the cheat was disabled. Of cause I'm fully aware of that all other sims have to "learn" the new traits but I can not see why both the father and the boy were stressed out from not having stolen anything in a while. The boy was aged up with help of the cake and I don not know if that helped.

Removing a trait in CAS, even with the cas.fulleditmode cheat, only visibly removes the trait without deleting the trait's effects.
That's why some of your family members remain stressed from not stealing.

To completely remove a trait, use a Re-Traiting Potion on the target sims, which costs 5,000 satisfaction points each.

Oh OK so that's how it works. Thank you. I always use to work but this time the effects did remain so I thought something was very wrong. But I will not worry then.  :)
