Minor bug. Animal shed issues.

My animal shed with a cow in it seems broken. It will not dirty and the food is always full. The cow will not eat the food set in it. I have to manually feed it. The cow is otherwise fine. Also the cow never goes in it's home. Anyone else run into this?

Strangely, the bug self corrected after multiple saves are restarts, resets, and traveling t other lots after my sim went to  Batuu. I don't get it.
