Chefs Come to Work Late

Hello.

I don't think this issue is related to the problem that member "purenergy" does have whit the game so I start a new topic.

Now, the NPC chefs in my game do not stand around on the sidewalk but they seem to come in very late for work. My sims can order there food and then sit and wait for an hour before the chefs arrive and begin to work. The restaurant can be quite crowded by then... This is in my fullpatched laptop game. (The very unpatched desktop game don't have this issue).  I also did discover that the actions for ordering food get stuck in the queue by the sims who do order food. It won't drop out again. I should try to delete the  localthumbcache.package file and see if this helps. (An other problem that I do not have in the "old" pacthed game).

If I am understanding the issue correctly, Sims can order but the food never gets served?  If this is the case, it might be a bug.

I am unaware of any work-arounds.

Well, the food get served but as the kitchen is free of staff it can not be prepared. I did read the thread and I fallow the same routine as the member who wrote #7. In the outdated game this works great. Sure there are delays there too but the chefs are there or arrives shortly after my sims. In the updated game it takes hours before anyone get their orders. I did try with two different restaurants. Both was shipped with the DLC.

Might be some helpful tips in the reply.

The only other thing I see is the chefs not going into the restaurant which it sounds like that's not the issue. So I'm really not sure what's happening in your game. Trying to troubleshoot the best I can.
