Disappearing Box of Mystery

Hello.

I am playing a Sim in the magician career.  However, somehow the Box of Mystery has "disappeared" (haha).  I have the box of danger, so the mystery box disappearance is strange.  I looked to see if I could get a replacement using "buydebug", but there isn't one in there.  Is there a way to get a replacement that I missed?  Please advise.  Thanks.

I haven't done much with any Showtime careers except Singing, so I had to go searching for an answer.  Someone mentioned on the Sims forum that go back to the main menu and load the saved-game again and the box of mystery should be back in your Sim's inventory.

If that doesn't work, you might try quitting the career and re-joining to see if that helps. You will loose job performance and be at a lower level when re-joining, but you should get the objects back.

  --  Thank you for sharing what you've tried.   It looks like the box can't be found in Buydebug, Reset Sim or Town, just like you mentioned.

As it turned out, all I had to do was save and quit the game.  And when I signed back in, the Box of Mystery "magically" reappeared in the inventory.    

That being said, I am under the impression that the Showtime expansion was quite "buggy" and issues like lag and mystery box problems were never corrected.
