Accidental 'Factory Reset' With No Backup :(
« on: June 14, 2021, 02:34:19 PM »
I def screwed up on this one.
For some background, I recently got another disk drive for extra storage and was going through some files and decided to move the sims 4 game folder to the other drive, NOT KNOWING that this basically acts as a clean wipe for the game. I start up the game and freak out as all of my 600+ mods are gone plus all my saves in the library.

Ive tried doing some research but everything Ive looked at assumes that I already made a backup myself (which I didn't because I wasn't aware) and I tried to fix it myself by looking in my saves folder and what not but everything was just, gone. I decided to completely uninstall the game to see if it'll fix itself, but I don't have much hope. Did i completely mess things up or is there still hope?

If you just moved the game folder to your second drive as opposed to deleting it outright, try moving it back?
