hi everybody!

i haven't played sims 3 for a bit, and now that i have, i tried playing polly maloney (bridgeport). i had her win big at the casino, and move to starlight shores for a new start. she is in a cute little house, and i had her get a job in business, then all of a sudden, the game crashes to the desktop. i have started this game for the third time and each time, it crashes so i was wondering if any of you have tried playing her and have this problem? i am even writing a story about her new start and can't continue. if this has happened to any of you, can you tell me how you fixed the problem? thanks so much!

I've played Polly before and never had any problems.

You haven't mentioned any troubleshooting tips you've tried, so here's a post with some troubleshooting tips to try.

Mrs. Flynn, i'm curious how you played polly. did she have a better life in Bridgeport?
the only trouble shooting i did was to quit the game and restart. and played other saved games, that worked fine. it's just my polly frest start game that quits on me.

I must confess, I didn't play her in Bridgeport.  I saved a copy of her to the library and from there I've played with her in separate save files.

However if you haven't, you might try deleting the files you find in the CurrentGame.Sims3 folder.
 -- \Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\CurrentGame.sims3

When the game crashes it sometimes leaves files of your current save in this folder. It's won't hurt to delete these files. If you're concerned about it save a copy of the folder first before deleting the files.

I wonder if Starlight Shores is causing the issue instead. Could you try moving Polly to a different town or have her stay in Bridgeport?

i could try that trip, but i wanted her to meet my favorite sim, rich richmond. i always pair him with the particular sim i happen to be playing that way i can control his career as well as the sim i am playing. but i am going to save this current game and play her in sunset valley and see if it plays with no issues. i have her saved to the bin, so i'm gonna try it. thanks guys!
