Carl's Sims 3 Youtube video 1

Hi people,

I would like to read your opinions about the first movie I've made for Carls sims 3 page on Youtube. The account is still 'under construction' and therefore opinions and ideas are really important for me.
Although I really enjoy to read that people are enjoying my videos, because that is my goal, but please don't hastitate to give negative feedback. After all, I can't learn without those to.

I saw one typo, I suggest changing it. Is it possible to remove the sim's "Exhausted" moodlet?

Hi Leto I think you did a great job.  This is just my opinion but I think the font design/color is a bit difficult to read when the white fades into the text on sims computer screen on the bottom of the font.  I would suggest putting the text into a solid/50 % opacity color box behind it. Or just a different font which is easier to read. Just my 2 cents.

@The Illuminator: If you really want you could remove ones moodlet by Ctrl+Left clicking on it after using the 'tesgingcheatsenabled true' cheat.

@Jancy: I agree with the font thing. In my second movie I removed the Sims font completely for any subtitle and replaced it with a standard standing one; white, and with a 2 point black line to seperate it more from the background.
Only for titles the Sims font is an option still.

Leto so the font you're typing with is a Sims Font?  I like the looks of that (I don't have that font) that's why I didn't put it in the example.

Oh, thanks for letting me now. But I have copied the text from the Forum Rules directly from the Forum Rules here. First I asumed the text was good by default but it seems that some words have slipped through the text editor.
But let's not talk about that movie here please. That's for another poll.

About the Sims font, if you want to have that you can pm me a e-mail adress so I can send it to you. If you don't know how to install it to let it work on your computer I can also send you instructions. Just mention what Operating System you are using (Windows, Mac, Linux).

You mean the red speech bubble saying the Sim is exhausted?  I rather like it because it implies that even when someone is exhausted in the middle of the night, we still play Sims and visit the Forum.

If you see a typo, please tell Leto exactly what it is to make it easier to find.

Why did you put a link to fraps.com?

I checked the Forum Rules and they are written correctly.  Somehow some misspelling happened when you copied the text to the video.  But we'll cover all that in the thread you make for the rules video.

One last thing...  the font Leto mentions is not the official Sims 3 font.  It's a knock-off that was designed by someone else.  It strongly resembles the Sims 3 font, but there are small differences because of copyright issues.  Electronic Arts owns the copyright for the exact font they use in the games and nobody else is allowed to use it.  One way to spot the knock-off font is to look at the "i" in the word "Sims".  The genuine font has a capital "I" and the knock-off has a lower case "i".

Really? I wasn't aware off that. But if we really need it, I can always change the font myself in Photoshop. The only problem is, I can't change the font directly, only a layer. But because it is illegal (I've read now) I'm not going to change the font directly, even if I could.

The link to fraps.com was what automatically happend because I didn't have a registered version of the program. The link was made by the program itself, you can see it in the beginning of the video.

The original reason why this sim was exhausted was because even though he had a big house and girlfriends he still wasn't happy.
