The Greenies of Hidden Springs
« on: April 24, 2021, 06:03:57 AM »
Hey guys :)

Have any of you played around with the green-skinned Sims of Hidden Springs?

Any ideas what their species is?

They seem a bit alien-like, but not entirely with their big round ears.

Given the healing theme in HS, I feel inclined to play them as (forest?) witches.

Any thoughts and/or ideas about them?

There is a children's park named Fairyfolk Park...could that be a reference to their kind?

The mountainous and wooden feel along with the bluish green vegetation as well as the name Subalpine Square makes me think that HS is in a northern location.

Have you given any thought to this?

This is a good question! And one that probably changes depending on if you play colorful sims on the regular or not. The world came well before the Supernatural EP so IMO the idea was to imply they were fairies but not having any of the framework to explore that further. But in my own "universe", they just get folded into the greater concept of being Daemons just like anything else fantastical and weird about the game.

Oh you know I love a colourful sim - wether it's hair or skin! ;D

I've kind of gone back and forth on just what the greenies are (I originally thought alien but with the expansions that followed it become more hybrid particuarlly alien/plant/fae hybrid.) Especially as I believe Granny Shue is the original and Emmaline Rhoen and Cassidy Earthsong are her daughters (non-biologically as her bio states not being able to have kids) and Star Shue is actually Emmalines daughter that Granny adopted. Particuarlly because Grannys only friend at the start of the game is Emmaline and all the other adopted children have natural skintones.

@Simkittyx: What about elderly Louis Swete then? And the pizza boy, Ken Woodard, the repairman, Tomas Bellucci, and the elderly social worker, Clarisse Meyers? :)

There are eight premade greenies, both young and old.

Oooh I forgot about Louis for a minute there despite having had him paired up with Granny. Woopsy. ^^; I would say he is the male equivilent though - the Adam and Eve of the Greenies. :P

I am actually unfamilair with the other 3 though so can't really comment on them as I wasn't aware they existed. ^^; You are tempting me to go track them down though. Haha. :P
