Babies?

Hello, I have not been able to play for a year or so and I noticed some things have changed in Sims 4. I was wondering if babies age up on their own or do I need to force it. I have my game set for long life.

I'm sure they probably will, but I don't know how long it would take.  I've played around with MCCC, and with my settings the baby stage should be 8 days.  I had a baby still not age up a few days after what should have been her birthday, and I finally just clicked Age Up.  I don't know how much longer it would have taken.

Thank you. My babies finally aged up. It just takes forever it seems.
