Graphics Help ~ GTX 1660 Super
« on: November 16, 2020, 01:25:59 PM »
Hello :) this might be an odd question but i wanted to make sure.
i got a new graphics card (gtx 1660 super) and i changed all the sgr files and all
i noticed that in Flynn's guide in the graphics rule file theres a line after where they add the new card that says "seti cardLevel $cardLevelUber", in my file it say low instead of uber... is it something i need to change?
my game recognizes my card but i just wanted to make sure so its working the best is can
thanks in advance!  :)

this is the line on my file
" seti cardLevel $cardLevelLow
        seti isCardMatched true
    else
        seti cardLevel $cardLevelUber
        seti isCardMatched false"

I am unsure as to what happened with your graphics files. To correct the issue please share your device ID for your video card.

Open the DeviceConfig.log file in your Sims 3 folder in the Documents folder.
\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3

Look under the Graphics device info section for Chipset. On that line, should give the Device ID.

With this, we can check if the card has been added to the GraphicsCards.sgr file and make sure the settings are correct in the GraphicsRules.sgr file.

We can still delete the thread if you'd like?

Thank you for confirming the device ID. I wasn't sure if the one I found was correct or not.
