Tiny Living Stuff Pack
« on: January 14, 2020, 12:04:51 PM »
I haven't seen any conversation on these boards about the Tiny Living Stuff Pack coming out next week.  If I missed it somewhere please point me to it.

I am wondering if we will get a new world in this pack?  Based on the pictures that have been issued I am hopeful but I can't imagine a new world in a stuff pack.  Does anyone have any idea?

Hello Manderly,

So far this is the only thing on the site:

Tiny Living Stuff Pack

As far as a new world? I highly doubt that we will get one with this.

Hi @Wadeken  Welcome to the Forum. For me it's the combo items. They are going to allow making the tiniest of lots even easier. I'm also a fan of the Mid Century Modern vibes as it's one of my fav architectural styles in rl.

@Wadeken my favorite thing this pack is the build rewards for making a tiny home. Doubling skill gains no joke. I am also looking forward to the new death. Energy stealing ghosts that can posses people? Yes please!

Out of the items of course the murder bed, I mean the murphy bed as it is needed to produce the ghost. And I like the combo of TV/stereo/book case. Both the wall and the stand alone versions. The rest of the pack items do not excite me at all.

Well, I got the pack. Building a 32 tile home for a family of 3 including a toddler is hard. But it is worth it. Now I just have to worry about mom and dad dying to there bed as the murphy bed was the only way I can see spacing working out with it being both a love seat and a bed. Maybe I should have just downloaded a house. One thing is for sure, That buff is so nice. So what if my sims are tripping over each other they sure are happy and learning a lot. Moving around is overrated anyway.

I bought the pack yesterday and so far am really enjoying it although I haven't been able to play for very long.  I downloaded a micro house from the gallery and created a brand new sim.  It has been really hard and has brought several new dimensions to my play....for one, Walter McBride has almost no money.  After buying the house and placing it on a lot in Brindleton Bay he had $5 left.  I had to sell the easel that came with the house just so he could have a fruit salad.  I've got him studying handiness cause I think that is the route to go to fix the Murphy Bed issue.  It took him about five tries to even be able to OPEN the Murphy bed.  He had to resort to a nap on the attached sofa just to be able to get to his first day of work.  I like the combo bookshelf, stereo, tv except that I generally don't let my sims have tv's and stereo's because the obsess over them. When the welcoming committee came over I was shocked that they put the fruitcake on TOP of the unit!  The micro house I downloaded came with a clothesline and hamper, a feature I never played with before...I have only had washers and dryers and I haven't used those in a long time.  I like the clothes line especially since he is an athlete and can certainly use the  fitness he earns.  My next move is to figure out what qualifies as the two pieces of workout equipment he can buy and place on the lot to meet his bodybuilder aspiration requirement.  I wonder if the soccer ball will qualify?  Or maybe the bike?

This. My only experience so far with the pack is with a toddler*, and the skills were learned so fast. It pained me to go to another save with a toddler in a larger house. For older sims, the skill buff hardly matters. But it makes a huge difference to the ease of reaching Top Notch. A 64 tile house would get the same skill buff, though I haven't made one that size yet. That seems like the best compromise.

*My toddler slept outside. I got lucky with the weather. My basic floorplan, which works well enough for the two sims (now adult and child) that I have.

It is a little thing of my own. I call it "Heart Foam". I shall not publish it. Farewell! Patience, Patience, farewell!

Exit Bunthorne.

I haven't even had the chance to buy this yet let alone try it out and even though I'm not a builder I'm looking forward to this pack. I'm really liking the furniture, Art Deco, Mid-Century Modern is my thing, love it. I can't wait to play with the murder bed and I'm really hoping I get one of those cool ghosts to torture my Sims with, *Rubs hands in evil glee* this pack looks like fun! :)

What is the kill rate on that murder bed anyway? Here's hoping it's high ... no reason, why do you ask? *Smiles innocently*

At the moment, people are complaining on AHQ that the breakage rate of the bed is way too high (like every night), and I believe it is the broken bed that kills so currently the kill rate must be higher.  Expect that to be nerfed soon though.

That's exactly what I'm afraid of, knowing EA they will probably nerf it so hard that the death will never happen. *Sigh* I suppose I should get the pack soon before that happens but I'll have to disable it for the upcoming Tournament Challenge so I've been putting of buying it.  :-\

FYI:Death rate is almost non-existent on a fully upgraded bed but yep, a nerf is on the horizon going by past pack releases for sure.
