HTTPS Migration
« on: April 29, 2019, 09:25:43 PM »
I'm working on a migration to https. I don't expect any downtime from this. It's mostly redirects, though things could be a bit buggy and if so I'll lock the forum temporarily while I sort it out. This is my 4th move but the only one that involved a forum.

Oh and please report any errors you see? Just because I'm on this doesn't mean I know about it.

Things are going really well, so I've gone ahead with the redirect. The red 'Not Secure' warning should be gone for everyone, and communications via PM etc are now secure on the site. We do need to watch for problems. I don't think I've ever done anything like this without encountering something, because there's too many things for me to mess up.

I found every last mixed content error, ya! That means you should see the lock in the top left near the address bar now. :)

I also see the lock, however I also have an orange warning triangle in front of the lock with an exclamation mark in front of it and when I highlight it, I get told that the connection is not secure and that Parts of the page are not secure, such as images. Screenshot is below.

That was in Firefox. I've just downloaded Google Chrome onto this computer, and there is no lock there that I can see. It also gives me a warning as per the following screenshot.

@Deklitch I notice the theme right away, as a lot of the population is using greengrass. That was a big help, thanks. I think I got it? Probably just the top left banner coming from the old domain.
