That green one looks a little too shocky, don't you think? It's kinda the only green in the entire page.

I disagree. I think Carl used the identical shade as the boxes on the Guide and you want that carry-over -- that similarity.

I'm kind of fond of the green myself. I want it to stand out for people referred here by a search engine, so that they can easily see a spot to seek more information -- let alone the convenience to members who use this as their base for the Sims 3 and take part in guide hopping.

Well I don't have anything agaisnt the color green either, it is in fact my 2nd favorite color, as you can see in my avatar, signature or whereever else.

It's just... Can't you make the corners of the green boxes a little more round? Or maybe a little lighter green tone (perhaps the same tone as the guide page)? I don't know if you can only choose from a list of box types on a "forum board settings" kind of thing or actually use boxes you made yourself, so I'm sorry if that comment was a little nosy.

I actually took the images used in the blue area to make copies and change the hue green. I might give it another whirl to give it the rounding effect, but it actually might be kind of tough. I'm always looking for ways to piddle around so I'll probably give it a shot soon.

I have no idea what your time-zone is Carl ... but you're obviously having a busy day.

At this moment in my time the green is a little "heavy" in relation to that nice French Blue.
Possibly about 40% lighter?

I certainly respect your opinion there. And actually I've been working about 10 hours now :D That's one reason I probably won't tweak with it much today. I want to lighten the edges (the black part) and will have to do some tinkering in photoshop. It's possible I'll have a look this evening or tomorrow at making it a touch prettier.

This is the busiest week of the year for our site so I'm scrambling to make improvements and coming up with all sorts of ideas. Sometimes I'd rather get it out there and see what people have to say. If y'all rally around a lighter green I won't have much of a choice, will I?  8)

Wow Carl!  I had just hoped for a link to the home page of the guide, but what you are doing is completely above and beyond what I had anticipated.  Thank you!

No problem. I don't want to milk pageloads out of our guests. I'd rather see everyone find what it is they're looking for within a few clicks.
