The game ate my entire file
« on: November 19, 2018, 08:00:03 PM »
Ok, this one really takes the cake.  It ate my entire file.  No way to retrieve any of it, so ten days of game play and lots of building gone.  Fortunately I saved my builds each time to my file so that part can be "easily" replaced.  My two Sims had completed the positivity challenge.  What was that about?  Seems like much ado about nothing in the long run.  Am I missing something there?  But, hey, it's gone too!  It was not a matter of pc crashing or anything, just when I went in, after cleaning cache and thumbnail and asking to repair, it showed my place holder Sim and nothing else.  Just when I was getting jazzed up about it after listening to Carl's videos on it and thinking I should give it another go it ate my file.  It was a pretty small file when it comes down to it but IT ATE MY FILE.  Grrrr.  Ok, I'm nothing if not persistent so I'm going to give it another run.  My Sims are writers to be and painters so let's see if that can work without anything further going astray.  (Already accomplised first two tiers of the positivity challenge.)  I really want to like this since I couldn't afford the over priced tariff.  EA, don't let me down.
I did learn a very good thing with this update etc.  Patience is more than a virtue.  Wait till your Sims have done every last thing, and then when a second or two more before clicking on or doing anything.  It seems the game hangs up and slows down so a long queue is not always the best bet.
What?  Grannies can't play games?
I speak perfect Nooblik, (and some Simlish)!
