Jealousy about past relationships?

So I was just playing the Sims 3 Late Night and my Sim was at a party. My Sim was flirting with Kai Leiko's ex-girlfriend. I guess he got jealous so he slapped her and now Kai is enemies with me. I thought it wouldn't be a problem since they were no longer dating but I guess I was wrong. Has this happened to anyone else?

Yes, jealousy is definitely part of Sims' relationships.  Even with an ex.

This is out of the topic, but you can get rid of any jealousy effects withe the mod [edited--Metro]. This removes any jealousy in the game. But be very careful using it, because it is a core mod like [edited--Metro] and may ruin your game if anything goes wrong with it!

Would the LTR No Jealousy affect that sort of thing, or is it only for keeping sims that your sim is in a relationship with from beating you?

This would be a interesting exepeariment to try out. I'll try it out sometime, but for now, I wanna finally raise my Hit Movie Composer with no cheats.
