Problem with bills
« on: August 20, 2018, 01:13:55 PM »
My lot is worth 21,762 simoleons and only my sim lives there. The money in reserve is 35,621 simoleons. Despite those numbers, I just got a bill worth 12,149 simoleons, which makes no sense considering the value of the lot and the fact that the last bill I had got was worth around 1000 simoleons. Is this supposed to happen? If not, can someone tell me how I avoid that?

May I ask if you have Seasons installed and a thermostat that's on? It increases the bills insanely.

I don't know what either of those mean.

The post I am talking about states there's a bug with the billing system. It counts all the items on the lot, plus all items in Sim's personal inventory as well as the family inventory when calculating the total of the bill.

It sounds like this bug may not be fixed. A work around is to cheat the money to help pay the overly-expensive bill.

What Ty may be referring to is If you have the Seasons expansion pack installed and have placed a thermostat in the house and turned it on it will make the bill more expensive.

I don't know what either of those mean.
