Is it just me or do needs decay MUCH faster now?  It seems my Sim needs to sleep etc. every two hours or so and it's getting really frustrating.  Also, is it just me or have townies gotten even uglier, more stupid and lazier?  Are there NO good men around?  The only cute ones I found were a gay couple!  How can a girl beat that?  Trying to relearn the game is much more of a challenge than I had anticipated even with all my copious notes.  Poor Sim has been looking for a viable spouse for the past 7 Sim days!!  Starting to consider good ol' stand by Don Lothario.  Sheesh.

I'm surprised that your sim's needs are decaying that quickly. Needing sleep every two hours or so seems like a bit much.
@Playalot can give you a better answer than I can give you, but I'm hazarding a guess that's it's a bug...

LOL, despite all the new packs, our choice of premade sims hasn't improved much, sad to say.
Do you have the Jungle Adventures pack? There's always a hunky dude or two in Selvadorado. Seriously!!!
7 days is a loooong time to for your female sim to be checking the local talent.

@Joria  so lovely to see you back on the forum!  You've been missed! Needing sleep that often definitely isn't right. I couldn't find a specific bug report about this but usually sims can go a reasonable time without needing to sleep once their energy bar is full.

For an example my teen wakes up at 6.30am, takes a bath, eats some harvestables and makes a packed lunch, goes to school, comes home and eats, does his homework (with help from adult) then goes to the gym and is ready for bed at around 10pm. Admittedly he is very tired by then but this suits me as he has a L10 energy bed so doesn't need to sleep for a huge amount of time to get his energy bar filled again.

@oshizu:  Haven't been there!  I finally gave up and focused on J. Huntington.  They are engaged but really he was a choice of desperation, not that he's bad looking or has bad traits per se.  The worst being the noncommital and he commited!  Moved the Landgrabs in after I got fed up trying to do it no buy.  What the heck, trying all kinds of things to relearn my way around so they just may take a vacay to Salvadorado!
@Playalot :  I think the issue is she had a crummy camper bed and a tent.  Couldn't really sleep in the bed everywhere and I worried about the weather.  If it wasn't for the really cool clothes I'd uninstall Seasons.  Had fun finding all kinds of new (to me) plants on Deadgrass island.  Check around the graveyard for roses and a lot more on the paths. Good fishing there too!  You just don't want to be out at night.  Way too many ghosts of both people and critters but so many treasures to find and a ton of dig sites.  In TS3 you couldn't dig in animal dig spots but you can in TS4 and it's a good way to get replacement parts.  (Not much else in the animal ones though.)  Poor thing still hasn't got a job.  Tomorrow she'll plant all the plants she's found so far and let the Landgrabs take care of them while she finally gets a job and goes to work.  I really like the Pets world.  So pretty and so much to do in nature.  Didn't there used to be a list of where you could find plants?

@Joria  lpant list is on the Gardening Skill Guide (click) and detailed Plant Location guide here (click) that you can go through each neighborhood and see what grows there but there are a few bugs around harvesting wild plants with Seasons at the moment so seed packets might be your best bet as they have changed greatly since you last played.

@Playalot :  Havesting bugs?  So far can harvest everything I find on Deadgrass Island and Deep Woods plus everything in Brindleton Bay.  Haven't tried anywhere else.  Keeping a detailed personal map of where and what to find with explicit directions.  So far produce harvested has been successfully planted.

The harvesting bug may now be fixed @Joria, if you are able to harvest the wild plants then I'd assume the fix has been patched in.

Sadly it isn't a bug it is by design after the last patch. Spliced plants are supposed to  rarely produce what was grafted on and ever more rarely produce the rare product from splicing two plants to get a third. MrsFlynn posted a links on another thread explaining it.

Unfortunately EA didn't think to communicate with use about said changes. I spent hours looking for work around to find out the bug was really a nerf and thus other than mods which may or may not exist or cheats there just isn't one and as it isn't a bug there is no fix coming. Got to love secret game changing nerfs.
