@scoed  I know, I get that and I agree, for the temple a 4 hr buff was all that was needed, in fact a 2hr buff would have been fine too. I've just got a bee in my bonnet about 2 things, 1-the devs saying the berries would be good for careers in a live stream (clearly they are not) and 2- there is nothing as quick as berry eating to get into a longer mood buff. It's fine... I get that we needed a method of getting into the correct mood for the traps but allowing us to 'perfect' the harvestables for a longer, stronger buff like other plants in the game would have served both purposes.

I'm not going to change my mind about this one. But I can handle being disagreed with by everyone lol. I just get a bit tired and if I'm honest annoyed with the moodlet system in general, imo in needs a major overhaul. I think it was an oversight of the devs to not afford the functionality on the Tree of Emotion and restricting game play possibilities is rather annoying in what is supposed to be a sand box game.

In a nutshell, it could have been both... a short buff and a longer buff once perfected.

@Nindigo  for maximum effect your sims must be in the correct mood for the entire work day.

@Playalot

I'm with you on this one. It would be so handy if the length of the berries' mood buffs would increase with the plant quality!
So explorers could continue on with their normal-quality berries for flash buffs, while growing better-quality berries at home to gain longer-lasting buffs for skilling and career purposes.

I was so excited to plant one of each kind of berry now not so sure it's worth the space and effort it takes.  Although, using them for careers where you are with the Sim COULD possibly help if you are in a bind and lose your initial buff or forgot to do what it takes to get it to begin with.  Hoping it will be financially worth the gardening work.
@Playalot , @oshizu:  Just had a Sim with a Sad mood.  Tried the Merry Berry to see if it would alter his mood.  It did.  He went from Sad to Very Sad!  Will try on other moods/berries to see if they have a canceling or enhancing effect.
What?  Grannies can't play games?
