[BUG] Teen an F Student

So my child sim was an 'A' student with about 5 days holiday accrued and the performance meter was as far to the right as it could go with the end circle containing a 'tick'. When he aged up to a teen he was instantly an 'F' student. Which, tbh I found pretty funny, but he should have been a B student. Does anyone know if this is a bug?

All I've seen is the Grade F bug below, caused after playing a child sim that had been aged down to toddler.

Can't be the same bug as this teen was never aged down, was born in game and has progressed normally through the life stages. Strange though, but regardless it only took a week and he's now an A student.
