“Eh, impulse really. Plus I hear that all the families get super rich and stuff. It also gives me something to do other then work, grow old and die, ya know?” Marigold told her fiancé, Travis. After undergoing a house remodel, the two of them were sitting together at Marigold’s brand new bar, chatting away the night as they regularly did.
“That...makes sense. Even if I can not live with you forever, I’ll still support you, okay?” Travis wrapped an arm lazily around her, kissing her lightly on the cheek.
“Hey, what’s that for? I already told you all about it, you don’t have to suddenly go all sentimental on me. At least wait for the wedding.” Marigold couldn’t care less, frankly, and she was giggling.
“Oh yeah, I almost forgot! Speaking of the wedding, are you going to be serving drinks or should we hire somebody? I know you just landed your final promotion but I wasn’t quite sure what you wished.”

Marigold snorted. “Let somebody else do it. They’ll never be as great as mine but a girl needs a day off from time to time.”
Travis smirked, kissing Marigold cheek one final time. “Of course, dear. Besides, we have the money now to afford it!” He stood up from his seat and picked up his work bags, checking his watch briefly. “It’s about time I head out. I’ll see you once I get off, and then we can finally prepare what I like to call ‘The World’ Most Casual Wedding’”.
“Hah, that sounds about right.” Marigold blew him a kiss before standing up to give him a quick hug. “I’ll handle all the preparation on my end, so don’t stress! Just take it easy today.”
Travis sighed with relief, as he didn’t quite understand how wedding planning works.“You’re amazing.”
“I know!”
And with that, Travis left for work.

Just for the sake of the wedding (but also slightly for the comfort and luxury), the Marigold and Travis decided to renovate completely and rebuild from scratch. They used almost all of their money, but the House was truly worth it to them. Marigold has suggested having the wedding here to both save money and to break in their house to their friends. She had been scrubbing it all day, trying to make it as clean as possible for her guests.
Marigold stood outside the house, admiring it briefly. She had just planted her first Death Flower after weeks of trying to make one, a very ironic achievement to have on your wedding date.

She stood there for awhile, letting the sun soak into her skin, enjoying the fresh air. She pushed away the guilt she felt for her excitement before finally heading back into the house, preparing herself for the wedding.

The happy couple held hands, exchanged their vows and kissed, the cheers of their small but close group ringing in the new marriage. Almost immediately the party kicked into full swing. Everyone head inside as the sun set, chatting away. The bartender for the night was preparing drink after drink (which Travis insisted were “not nearly as good as Marigold’s). The caterer was busy at work, and light music filled the room. The party raged on, with Marigold eventually cutting the cake and conversing with her guests.

The newly wed couple laid in bed, holding each other closely and having mindless conversation. They had taken off work, sleeping in until 2PM. Their idea of a “honeymoon” was to stay indoors and be very lazy with each other. They had both been hard at work before the wedding as well, and they needed the break. Marigold especially, now that she had worked herself to the bone to get her dream job and spent hours studying gourmet cooking, much to her dismay.
“Hey, sweetheart?” Marigold lazily pulled Travis out of bed, still holding him very closely.”
“Mm, yes?” Travis was too tired to really think, just wrapping his arms around her waist and pulling her in closer.
“I love you, nerd.” Marigold stick her tongue out briefly before smiling and staring into his eyes.
Travis snorted, pulling her in closer and smiling back. “I love you too.”
