No reaction to losing a friend?
« on: February 17, 2018, 02:58:06 AM »
My Sim got into a fight with her best friend, and the fight resulted in them becoming "acquaintances." There's absolutely no reaction to this outside of the normal fight-related emotions. In Sims 3, your Sims would get sad after losing a friend. Are Sims 4 Sims this indifferent to their lives?

Yes, Yes they are. They don't even care if their dog dies.

They're strange.

They will go mourn a random stranger who died generations ago if they come accross their urn/tombstone, and get a 4h sad moodlet. But if a close friend die, or even a housemate, and they don't witness the death, they seem to not feel anything. Witnessing the death gives a 2 day sad moodlet. Something in between could have been done.

The Sims 4 is known to be a game of illogical extremes ::) If they aren't present when any or all of their family members die, they are happily unaware and continue as if nothing happened.
