New Sim to neighborhood only
« on: January 01, 2018, 10:21:16 PM »
Hello. I am new to Sims and I love it sofar and well obvious I allready made a ’booboo’. Please help me.

I will be difficult sorry b/c I don’t remember how I done it but here it comes. I created a girl Sim and moved her into a ready built home. Then I made a boy Sim and built a house for him from scratch. I thought they will be neighbours so they can start interact, that was my plan, but no. If I play the girl I don’t see the boy only his house and otherway round, if I play the boy I see her house but not the girl. I can interact with other existing neighbours but nothing with these two together.

I did not started a new game when I created him somehow I end up at the creation screen and went for it.

Please help me to guide me what I have to do to have him in her game as a neighbour so they can start to get to know each other. I don’t want to move him in into her house, that should come later on.

I made a search on this problem but all I come up with how to move a new Sim into a household not to just the existing neighbourhood. So I kind of stuck.

any help much appreciated, thank you

If you created them both in the same game save, you can find both of them via Manage households in the upper right corner of the map.

This should also tell you what town they're in. If they're in the same saved game together they should be able to visit and interact with each other, no matter if they're in different towns or not.

If they aren't in the same saved game. Save them to the Library and place them both into the game. Basically move them both into the town of your choice from the Library.

Thank you so much for the links. I saved my Sim to the library then put him in the house. It seems working, they chat and visit each others and interact. I still have a question though if it is okay to confirm I did the right way.
If I play as a girl and want to visit the boy a ’loading screen’ comes up as I travel to him and after the game load I can interact with the boy. Is this right?
Another thing. When I am a girl at the boy’s house what ever task I do it is count towards the boy achievement not the girl. ex: I write something on his computer and add the ’writing leveling up’ to his not to the girl. I take it as they help each other out, while the boy busy the girl help to do his daily chore and other way round. Is this the correct way the game plays?

Yes, this is how TS4 works.

No, it does not matter where sims are... what counts is which sim is being controlled by you. If you are playing the girl then she is your 'controlled sim' so everything she does will count towards her aspirations and goals. Controlled sims can influence 'uncontrolled sims' to gain skill levels by making them do things together like exercising or singing together etc.

Carl's Guide (click) has many informative pages which will help you learn how the game works.  :)
