The AMD A processors aren't made for gaming they are more of a daily task, office/school type.
There is no information on the graphics, so I'm assuming that it only had an integrated graphics, which isn't that great either. It also lacks the adequate cooling for playing games.
A cooling mat will help some. Do you have any other options?
If it's the only option, you may want to limit what packs you install and don't play for too long. I'd say maybe an hour or two at most before restarting to let the laptop have a break.
The reasons why we don't really recommend office/school type laptops is because the gaming experience is low, but also will end up shorting the laptops life due to them not being made for gaming. Two of the biggest reasons is lack of adequate cooling and no dedicated video memory.
