Sims 4 stuck on plumbob screen when script mode is turned on?
« on: December 17, 2017, 06:09:28 PM »
Hi, I'm not sure if anyone else has this problem but my Sims 4 is stuck on the plumbob (green diamond) screen when the script mod are turned on.
I am able to get in the game, and go into the maps page, but once I select a household to play, it loads forever, I have to end task by going into task manager. I first thought it might be a problem with my custom contents, but once I removed all my mods into a separate folder, it still doesn't work.
I contacted Electronic Arts and they send me these procedures:

Completely log out and close down Origin
Hold down the Windows key and R
Type in "%ProgramData%" (without quotes) and click OK
Now open the Origin folder.
Delete all the files and folders in the Origin folder, except for LocalContent (do not delete this one)
Hold down the Windows key and R
Type in "%AppData%" (without quotes) and click OK
This will take you to a Roaming folder, which is located inside of AppData. Delete the Origin folder
Click on the word "AppData" at the top of your window
Open the Local folder here
Delete the Origin folder listed here
Restart your PC and log back into Origin

I tried this and it still doesn't work if I turn my script mods on. I can play however, if the script mods are turned off, I would really like to play the game with script mods though as some furniture require script mods to work.
If you have solved a similar issue, or know how I might be able to solve this, please help, thank you! :'D

Move the mods folder to desktop (for testing purposes) - This is to fully make sure it's not outdated mods/cc or some hidden files in the Mods folder. - Read more in the post linked below:

We recently received a new game patch that has made some game mods and custom content become outdated. You need to go through your mods folder to see what needs to be updated.
