Mandarin Citrus Part 4
On Monday Week 7, Mandarin had her elder birthday, and once she had finished her birthday cake, raced to a mirror and dresser, she just had to get her hair recoloured and her clothes remeasured and she'd be ready to pose for her elder pieces, catch up with some old friends and eat ambrosia.
Mandarin's completed museum.
Afterwards she continued to fish: just because she would live forever didn't mean she didn't need to catch more fish. There was still fish in China, Egypt and France she had yet to catch! Besides which, there was that one fish that was thiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiis big that got away.
Of course, it wasn't ALL about Mandarin on this day! Her husband Christopher was also turning elder, and that afternoon it was his turn for his birthday party. Like his blushing bride, He wanted to update his look, but while she was all 'let's get out and have a masquerade' he was 'feeling rather fruity'. As both Cornelia and her little sister, Agnes did at elder, Christopher posed for his own set of museum pieces which would be placed alongside Cornelia and Agnes in the entry hall.
The roaring of the finely tuned engine of 'The Beast' told them that their son and Generation 2 immortal, Lemon, was home following his second last day as a teenager. He had been an 'A' student for a couple of days now, and so he would be at school again the following day to hopefully get on the honour roll. He had been working on his mother's painting before he left for school that morning, but while he had been there, Mrs. C had not only painted two portraits of Mandarin, she had also sculpted her, mask and all. So, he worked on his homework after celebrating his father's birthday. Then he returned to reading a particular book to do with his ultimate life time wish.
The sisters, Cornelia and Agnes, aged 109 and 88 respectively, spent their time gardening (in the case of Cornelia) or writing (in the case of Agnes) and then spending time with Agnes' grandson, Ian Crumplebottom. Agnes had supermaxed sculpting, painting and writing, maxed cooking and photography and had also dabbled in science and gardening. She was currently working on a mystery book, but had 32 completed books written (13 best sellers and 12 hits) and was currently earning 22,550 in royalties.
Cornelia meanwhile was level 8 gardening and 191 fruits and vegetables away from completing the final gardening challenge. That she got this far towards her supermax of gardening is rather amazing, particularly as she picked up some athletic, painting and social networking skill along the way. The current state of the household requires two of herself, Agnes and Christopher to die, (to enable 2nd generation spouse to come in and third generation to be born) but I hope if she's one of the two to die first, it'll be after she completes that supermax.
Christopher has supermaxed gardening, maxed photography, painting, sculpting (he was the backup to Agnes in case she died before Mandarin was an elder) and fishing, and has some skill in cooking, alchemy, logic and handiness. He has the skill level of alchemy required for friendship and super duper invigorating elixirs.
Tuesday, Lemon becomes a young adult (he is already there in game, and he isn't the worst sim ever that has come through from a sim parent that I created, and on Wednesday Ian Crumplebottom (grandson of Agnes and the Keatons) starts school.
Mortimer (in household) and his childhood friend, Bella, have a son and a daughter together, so hopefully one of those two will be in the household. I am not as skilled at this process of keeping townie blood alive as others are, but I do have Keaton/Crumplebottom/Steel/Goth dna in the household at the moment and hope some more into it within the next generation or two.
