My pets can't stand on their feets any more!

My sim has an elder cat and dog, they are adopted strays called Rania Yassine and Mayor Whiskers. They both got ill (glowy nose and feet) and my sim took them to his vet clinic and cured them giving an antiviral shot. After curing them they don't seem to be able to stand or walk any more, they try to stand up but they instantly fall down. Resetsim does not help.  I have no cc or mods in game. No option to take them to vet again or to ask what is wrong.

Looks like your pets are passing out from exhaustion. Try leaving them alone for a while to sleep it off. When a pet passes out from exhaustion it slumps to the ground and 'sleeps' but when it wakes up it still needs to go sleep in a pet bed or somewhere on the floor so directing them to a pet bed or leaving them alone solves this.

Great! I only know this as I had a dog pass out on me and wondered what on earth was happening!

I had it happen to a cat - it dropped while standing on a low table. Silly kitty
