Update: 11/9/2017 – PC 1.36.102.1020 / Mac 1.36.102.1220 Game Patch

There is a new interaction with ghosts that this patch has brought. I didn't get a screenshot sadly but will try to next time I see it. Basically after a certain amount of time (don't know exactly how long) a ghost will be automatically removed. You will get a message about this and the ability to "Strengthen Connection to the Physical World". This allows the ghost to remain around for some more time.

This is good news, now hopefully ghost towns will be a thing of the past with NPC ghosts being removed from the game sooner instead of being present indefinitely.

Also there are new dig sites around the world and new colors of various kitchen counters, actually there are many more things patched into the game than the patch notes indicate.

The 50/50 method is probably the easiest. Here (click) are the steps to follow but instead of testing small batches you could put 50% back in. That way if there is a problem you can then put half of that original 50% in and so on until you can identify which cc is causing the issue.

If you have your cc very organized into named folders etc then you can just simply replace your cc folder by folder.

Thanks! I'll check that out. One other thing--is there a glitch with the cakes? I'm trying to age my sims up and there's no option to add candles.

Not that I am aware of, my cakes are working like normal. Try placing the cake more on the center of a kitchen counter and see if that fixes it. Sometimes the placement is a bit finicky.

Maybe, it might be nice to have Candles of Youth. In one of my games, all the Sims started having birthdays, even though aging was off. Avoiding the party didn't seem to prevent the aging. It delayed having to see the magical transition.

I'm not sure if it was the patch update or my download of Cats & Dogs, but we don't seem to have the "100 Friendship_main" cheat anymore. I saw someone else post it on the EA help sit so looks like EA might be aware. Slightly annoying nonetheless.

Yes this is a known and reported bug.
