Engineered baby?

I just sent Stiles and Emma (Hatch) McGraw to the future to Engineer a Baby but no baby ever arrived. Is there something I'm missing? They did get their 106,000 lottery winnings though

I had to get my couple (unmarried) to group up, visit the hospital lot together, and then click on the hospital interactions to engineer the baby.  Effectively it's giving birth in the hospital without having to be pregnant first, but both of them have to be there.

Maybe that's my problem. They both went to the hospital. The appropriate menu options came up and I chose each one but when I looked, Stiles was outside playing his guitar. I thought maybe the baby would appear when they got home. Nope. So, I had them try for baby at home to see if the baby got the "looks" requested in the future. They haven't had the baby yet.

I have a somewhat similar problem. I tried to have my two sims engineer a baby together but the option is greyed out. When I hover over it, it says “The household is currently full” I’ve tried everything but it’s still greyed our, does anyone know what to do or what it means? My sims are in a Utopian future, they have 3 other sims at home (in the past), they’ve engineered a baby before, I only brought the two of them to the future, they don’t live in the community center (they have a future home), they have enough money,  anything I’m missing??

@Eli345 Does the family own any pets? I think they count towards the limit of 8 Sims in a household.
