Vampires hanging outside after dawn?

Can you train your fledgling vampires to go inside when the sun comes up?

I've noticed that my young vamps will stay outside when the sun comes up for 3 or 4 hours until they burn up.

Can I train them not to do this? There is a "Lecture about Sunlight Option".

Not really, it is a bit of a flaw in my opinion with vampires, especially NPC vamps. You just have to manually direct them inside. It's not just with fledgling vamps either, all levels of ranked vamps will burn up, unless of course they have the sunlight immunity levels.

I think I'm going to have to start hibernating everyone at dawn, especially since I'm giving them all the weakness to sunlight.

I haven't used that weakness yet, be interesting to see how it all plays out! I tend to give all my vamps the immune to sunlight power as I play in rotation mostly these days and don't want any of them to die while I'm not playing them.

That is what I am trying to get set up right now.  3 Clans of Vampires of 8 each.

- Ventrue (They all have Ambitious Trait)
- Toreador (They all have Creative Trait)
- Brujah (They all have Sarcastic Trait)

Do you have Get Together? If you do you could make club rules for each clan too.

Great idea. I do have it, and up until now, have just kind of dabbled in it. I haven't even created my own club.

I also have a mod where clubs can have 50 members so was thinking I might have one large Camarilla Club for all Vampires.

I'm loving the Vampires more and more, and this is probably the most I have gotten out of Sims 4. And I have never played the paranormal side of past Sims games.

I really love the vampires too. Personally I think they are the best we've ever had in the sims. If you're into mods you might like Tanja 1986 vampire mods. They are pretty fun to use. They pretty much let your vampires go on an endless drinking spree as the cool down on the victims has been removed.

Thanks for the info. I have that mod already.

But with the new patch it seems my vampires can't Train, Request to be Trained, Spar or Duel, so I am going to have to go through all my mods to find the culprit.

@Puppetmaster1 seems tanja 1986 vampire mega mod is now outdated and broken. I've made an edit to my post above too. What a shame as this made playing traditional vampires pretty fun. She might update it so I've PM-ed her on the Official Forums on the off-chance she'll have enough time to do so.

I found the culprit and it was a mod to stop the random flirting.

If you are playing with Full Autonomy it is important to "Vamp-proof" your house, especially if you have 8 vamps. By Vamp-proof I'm mean keeping vamps from killing themselves, like you would "child-proof a house for a baby. I've had 4 vamps go up in flames, so learned this the hard way. If you have Autonomy turned off it isn't necessary.

- Clear away any dense landscape features, so you can see them wherever they are standing if they go outside.
- Don't have anything for them to sit on outside their house.
- Don't have anything for them to look at outside their house.
- Don't place telescope outside the house continuously. Use it then put it in family inventory.
- At 6am in Forgotten Hollows check to see what your vamps are doing.

I just beeline for all three levels of sun in immunity. Accidental death by stupidity do to the sun.
