Story Progression
« on: June 30, 2017, 11:11:54 PM »
Hey guys,

I don't recall when and/or if this has been brought up before, but it probably has. It's about SP - I don't know yet how exactly it works in TS4. Evidently non-played Sims quit and change jobs which I already knew. Now I'm also seeing signs of new pregnancies as well (in a premade townie). None that I had anything to do with, mind you. I have aging off as usual and none of my Sims are working the doctor career. It's rare that I get very far into a game at a time - thus my ignorance :-\

Are you using any mods? Townies will definitely change jobs etc even sims that you've made yourself and placed in the game and played for long enough to get a job but then mark as unplayed will also quit and or change jobs. Also this will change from game to game. For example J is a gym trainer in my current game but in the last one he was an astronaut!

I've never seen townies become pregnant though without some player intervention that was why I was asking about any mods. The Beehda family in San Myshuno start any new game off pregnant but that is the only sim I can think of.

Hi again, I might be mistaken about the pregnancy - I can't quite figure it out, but she may just have had an indigestion (there's a lot of disease everywhere in my game currently). She looked nauseated and being family-oriented, I guess she could have had a baby-related thought bubble at the same time? And no, I don't use any mods that could cause autonomous pregnancies. That would be my first check as well. But for all I know, the game could have been updated to include such a new SP feature during my last "Sim-break". You never know ;)

Update
The Sim is pregnant. I guess...MC Command Center's default setting is to blame then, because it's the only script mod I have. Assuming custom skin and accessories don't provide that "effect". Hmm, should have read a bit more thoroughly up on it before running it.

Another Update
Oy, my game now marries and moves Sims autonomously. Lol...not used to it.

All that moving etc is caused by MCCommand Center. It's designed to do that which is why I asked about mods.  :) That mod also has a setting so the sims will autonomously propose to your controlled sim etc etc. So it really makes a lot of changes to the vanilla game.

It's fine lol, so many people are caught out by those features on MCCC. I keep thinking that I must get around to check that mod out but then never seem to find the time.

I ran MC Command Centre briefly in a 'for fun' file and found Marcus Flex married to a random male townie. Throw me completely when I first saw them in manage worlds, I thought the game had generated a new sim wearing the same clothes  ;D

Well, Gavin Richards was suddenly married to a guy with a big fro in my game. And Gunther Munch lived in San Myshune married to an old woman. ;D
