Oasis Landing No Opportunities

Whenever any of my sims travel to Oasis landing for the first time they never get the tutorial opportunities. I have no mods or custom content installed currently and I have already done a clean install twice and am still having this problem. Anyone know why this is happening, how to fix it, or had the same problem?

I gameplay tested this problem and found it's working. Here's the steps I took to get to Oasis Landing.

1. Using a new Sims 3 folder, new game and new Sim.
2. Wait for the portal to show on home lot.
3. Pick up power cell cylinders.
4. Give them Emit.
5. Follow Emit to and through the portal to Oasis Landing.
6. Emit will meet your Sim at the portal to finish the tutorial, first starting with him giving your sim a jet pack.

Is this what is happening with your game? Or is Emit not talking to your Sim after they get to Oasis Landing?

If this is not happening, what you may want to try is to take your Sim into a new save and try getting to Oasis Landing from there.

It may be best to try this in a new Sims 3 folder, and new game. So you have a fresh folder to test things out with. This way you know for sure there aren't any mods/cc interfering with anything.

You can take your current Sims 3 folder and rename it to Sims3Current, and then click on Sims 3 to make a new folder.

I took out my Electronic Arts folder and let the game regenerate a new one. Emit was not talking to my sim at all when arriving in oasis landing. I actually got it working now somehow.
