I suppose your topic title did pretty much cover what you were seeking, but let's try and add a bit more text next time, okay? ;)

Anyway, the consignment store will offer you the best return for your produce. Born Salesman trait in combination with the Suave Seller reward will boost profits as well.

Do you think it's really necessary to have both?  I've never bothered with the trait, as there are always other traits I want to use.  It seems to me the Suave Seller LTR is the key.  But I'd like to know if the trait adds something extra that you don't get from the LTR alone.  Sorry, I know this is slightly off topic.

The dual combo is similar to Green Thumb trait and Super Green Thumb reward and the Savvy Sculptor trait and Artisan Crafter reward. So, yes, you can be assured that your goods through the consignment store will sell for more money if you have the Born Salesman trait. But, as you said, there's always other good traits to choose from too. It just depends on your goals for a character. If you're talking about a challenge character and a scoring barometer is money, you'd want to make that character as close to a one trick pony as you could.

If you don't have Ambitions for the Consignment Shop, or if it's broken, just drag the produce to the simoleon symbol on the inventory tab.

Fish and produce can also be sold at the grocery store, if you can't use the Consignment shop for some reason.  I don't know how selling at the grocery store compares to just selling it straight from the inventory as Pam suggested - not sure if you get more money at the store or not.

I think it's the same.

I think you get more money at the grocery store. In my first challenge my consignment store was bugged (to think I gave her born salesman and suave seller) and she sold her stuff at the grocery store. I think the different was about $780 for a normal deathfish from the inventory and $960 through the grocery store.

That's correct. I believe that you get 10% more for all produce and fish for selling it at the grocery store than you would by selling it straight through your inventory.
